On September 8, 2021, the Baku Stock Exchange participated in the “Net Zero transition” online webinar organized by the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative Group.
The webinar discussed the initiatives of SSE members to protect the environment, reduce waste, and address the problem of environmental pollution, the current status, and the preparation process.
It should be noted that the Baku Stock Exchange was accepted as a member of the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative (abbreviation - "UNSSE") on March 31, 2020.
The main goal of the Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative Group (Initiative Group), established in 2009, is to create an organized platform for exchanges to study and apply advanced environmental, social and corporate governance principles and to promote investment and financing principles within the established sustainable development goals.
