On March 7, 2023, the 3rd “Ring the bell" event dedicated to gender equality was held at the Baku Stock Exchange in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Azerbaijan.

Head of Baku Stock Exchange Eldar Abdullayev, Deputy Regional Director for Cooperation of Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency, Deputy Head of Mission Mr. Alberto Hernandez, UN Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment Country Representative for Georgia Kaori Ishikawa, the consultant of the international relations and protocol service of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Zahida Israfilova, UNDP Azerbaijan`s Programme Analyst Leyla Fathi, UNDP Azerbaijan`s project manager Aygun Ahmadova, employee of the Capital market policy and control department Nilufar Aliyeva, head of the corporate services department of the National Depository Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan Esli Dilbazi, Executive director of the Azerbaijan Microfinance Association Jala Hajiyeva, business processes and project manager of the Freedom Finance Azerbaijan Leyla Garalova, Human resources executive director of Accesbank Nigar Huseynzade, specialist in the international markets department of the Azfinans Investing company Shams Karimova, and a programme expert UNDP on WEPs global initiative Fidan Gasimova gave speech at the opening ceremony.

It should be noted that the Baku Stock Exchange started cooperation with the UN Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative Group (UN SSE) and the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) in 2020, and every year the UN Sustainable Stock Exchange Initiative Group and the World Exchange Federation In the first week, together with member exchanges, they are conducting the "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality" event.

In addition, we would like to inform that in February Baku Stock Exchange joined the WEPs (Women Empowerment Principles) initiative in partnership with the United Nations Development Program and is one of the 21 companies in Azerbaijan that joined this initiative put forward by the UN Women's Agency and the UN Global Compact.
