On March 30, 2021, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Small and Medium Business Development Agency and Baku Stock Exchange jointly organized a video conference for small and medium business (SME) entities on “Listing innovations and listing advantages on the stock exchange”.
The purpose of the event is to inform entrepreneurs about the benefits of financing from the capital market and listing on the stock exchange, to promote the issuance of securities by SMEs through the stock exchange, as well as to inform the business community about innovations related to listing.
The video conference provided general information on the capital market by experts from the Central Bank, Baku Stock Exchange and AzFinance investment company, as well as methods of raising funds from the capital market, measures taken to stimulate listing in 2020, discounts for listed companies, Listing Information on the services provided to issuers under the Advisory Program was provided in a presentation format.
It should be noted that the Baku Stock Exchange regularly organizes awareness-raising events to raise awareness of the capital market, promote the practice of issuing securities in the local business environment and listing on the stock exchange. As a follow-up to these events, on April 5-6, 2021, the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA), the Baku Stock Exchange and Ernst & Young (EY) will held the Certified online training on "Securities issue, listing on the Stock Exchange and initial public offering" for Small and Medium Business (SME).
