BSE in cooperation with IFC held a conference dedicated to BSE’s new listing rules

                On 29^th of September, 2009 in “Park Inn” Hotel Baku Stock Exchange in cooperation with International Finance Corporation held a conference dedicated to BSE’s new listing rules. The title of the conference was “Listing: alternative way of financing”. Over 100 senior managers of the leading Azeri companies from all sectors of the economy have participated in the conference. The conference’s welcoming speeches were delivered by the Chairman of State Committee for Securities Mr. Rufat Aslanly, the Executive Director of National Oil Fund Mr. Shahmar Movsumov, and the head of the Baku office of IFC Ms. Aliya Azimova. The staff members of the exchange provided detailed information regarding listing and its advantages, the mechanisms by which the companies could list on the exchange along with the presentation of the new listing rules of BSE. The advantages of listing for the investment companies were revealed by the Executive Director of Azerbaijan Investment Company and the head of the Baku office of European Bank of Reconstruction and Development Mr. Francis Delaey. After that the head of Azfinansbank Mr. Emre Timurkan relayed to the audience the experience of market-making in Azerbaijan. The president of AZEL Mr. Igor Yakovenko told the participants success story of his company in issuing debt on the local market.

                Two foreign stocks exchanges were the guest speakers at the event represented by Mr. Jon Edwards from London Stock Exchange and Mr. Murat Bolat from Istanbul Stock Exchange.
